Another Google Doodle Quiz...

If you use Google as your default search engine, like the majority of us, you can't help but have noticed their new logo.
This time it is a barcode. Confused as to why?

We can tell you it is simply to celebrate the anniversary of the creation of the barcode.
The barcode was created on this day, in 1952, by Norman Woodland and Bernard Silver.

Google are no strangers to changing their logo, having recently changed it 6 times before this one in the last month alone.
A few days ago their 'Doodle' was to celebrate Ghandi's 140th birthday. Just before that Google celebrated the Chinese Philosopher - Confucius' birthday, slightly older than Ghandi, being born in 551 B.C.
People who thought they were seeing double in the Google name on the 27th of September don't need to worry. Google was celebrating the fact that is was their own 11th birthday. So they changed their logo name to Googlle.
Prior to that you cannot of helped but notice the flying saucers and crop circles, celebrating the 143rd birthday of science fiction writer H.G.Wells.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next 'Doodle' change, there is bound to be 1 very soon... and what with Halloween and Bonfire night fast approaching, you can bet they will be doing something special for these too.
